Holy moly our little girl turned 1 ½ years old!
What we will remember about Makenzie at 18 months old:
Babies: She LOVES Her babies, all 4 of them. She will carry them, feed them, cover them up, bath them, dance with them, pat them, rock them, and give them plenty of lovin’.
Dancing: I turn on my iPod, crank some Avicii and little girl spins, turns, giggles, drops her little booty down, and screams in delight. When the song is over, she turns to us and signs and says, “More? More?”
Her kitchen. She cooks, she cleans, and she does the dishes while answering the phone. This little kitchen was well worth the money and I foresee her using it for a few years to come. It’s a lot of fun to watch her pretend play. I watch in awe as she takes little washcloths and stands at her sink “washing” a cup or bowl and then moving on to the fridge where she will grab every single piece of pretend food or condiment and lay it on the floor. When she has emptied the fridge she takes all the work she just did and puts it all back.
Bath Time: Every night after dinner we ask, “Do you want to take a bath?” And she replies with, “Yaaaaaaaaaaah.” She runs to the bathroom and loves throwing her toys in the water.
Brushing her teeth: She is obsessed! I guess between bath time and teeth brushing she’ll be a super clean baby and have great hygiene. J
Singing: She loves to sing and especially loves when we sing to her. Afterwards she always claps her hands and says, “Yaaaay!” So at least she appreciates my out of tune singing. J
Facial Expressions: Her facial expressions are hilarious. She says “uh oh” while holding the “oh” sound and turning her mouth into an exaggerated “O” while raising one eyebrow. It makes me laugh every time.
I’ve read a few articles on Pinterest that give advice for Potty Training tips to try with your 18 month old. One of them is sticking her on the potty each night before bath. I’ve tried it and she is so not interested. I’ll stick her on there and she shakes her head and says, “No, no! Aalllllll done!” She’s not a huge fan so we aren’t pushing her either.
Love to hear from you and being able to see how she is growing,Keep warm. I am praying for an early spring.
