Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Miss Makenzie had a great Easter Saturday playing with her cousins, Allison and Katelyn, and meeting Brian’s Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jerry, as well as his two cousins Kevin and Laura. Her stranger anxiety wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be which was a huge plus! We spent the day with family, visiting, eating yummy food, watching basketball, and hit the road back to the Quad Cities around 7 p.m. Makenzie slept the whole way home and once we got home, went right to sleep in her crib. She slept until 8 a.m. the next morning, she was tired!!

Easter Sunday we were lazy. We didn’t make it to church and really should have but instead we slept in (that being 8 am, oh how times have changed) and laid pretty low for the rest of the day. For dinner, I made an Easter ham with green bean casserole, cheesy potatoes, biscuits, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. The Easter bunny visited our house and it was cute to see Makenzie with her Easter basket. She got a pair of flip flops, a pair of baby Mary Jane’s, a pink and white polka dot swimsuit, a terrycloth swimsuit cover-up, a white sun hat, a pair of sunglasses, and a little stuffed Easter bunny. WOW, she sure was a good girl!! 🙂 Brian and I only took about 50 pictures of Makenzie next to her Easter basket too. You can never have too many.

Stacy, It was really nice to spend Saturday with the three of you as well as all the rest of the family. Fun to see how the three girls were together. All so gentle and interested in one another. Glad your Easter Sunday was relaxing. Pretty pictures of your little sweetheart…She looks so happy… Love, Marcy

It was great seeing every one on Saturday and spending time visiting. I’m so glad Makenzie was happy and did well around everyone. Brian picked her up today from daycare and he asked the girls, “how does Makenzie do during the day…” They replied, “She does great, except, she doesn’t like it when the other babies touch her. She usually starts crying…” Which I find interesting and funny considering she is nothing like that when Katelyn, Allison, Bryce, or Caden touch her. So strange!! Looking forward to seeing you at the baptism. 🙂 xoxo
