Nothing like family…

Last weekend my parents as well as my grandma (my dad’s mom) came to the Quad Cities for a couple days to help out and give me a little bit of relief. It was perfect timing since earlier in the week I had the flu and Makenzie had the start of pneumonia and by the end of the week I had a sinus infection and Makenzie had an ear infection… not to mention her sleeping habits went from stellar 11 hours straight to waking up every 2-3 hours the WHOLE MONTH OF FEBRUARY! I guess she just wanted to hang out and have more mommy time! Thank goodness, today is Friday and Brian comes home TOMORROW after being gone for a total of 27 out of 37 days between February and March (like I’m counting, ha)! Despite her runny nose, cough, ear infection, and feeling overall crummy and run down, she sure had an amazing amount of smiles, laughs, and giggles for her Great Grandma Seering and Grandma and Papa Streblow. I have to say, she sure loved my dad’s voice. Whenever he would talk, she stopped to find him in the room and when she found him, gave him a huge smile. So sweet.

A big thank you to Grandma, Mom, and Dad for helping me out. Just having you all there made me feel less stressed and like I could breathe for a moment. Thanks mom for taking a day off of work and to Grandma for sleeping on the couch and Dad for sleeping on the air mattress (even when the air mattress deflated early in the night, my dad just moved to the middle so we didn’t have to make any noise re-blowing it up).

Here are a few pictures (ok, a lot) from last weekend.

I have more trouble sending an answer but I think I finally have this thing mastered. Love the pictures and wish winter would get over so I could feel comfortable traveling. Tyler is staying overnight tonight.
Now he is playing with my keyboard. Found the buttons where the keyboard will do the playing. He just played a really sad song and he turned around and said Grandma I feel like crying. I had to laugh out loud which of course broke the spell. I enjoy having him overnight because he finds all kinds of interesting things in this house. Hope I get to see you soon but I love to see the pictures of Makenzie. Always glad to see more
    Love,

Hi Grandma- I’ve been meaning to email you back, I’ll have to do that this weekend when I get a chance! 🙂 I hope you have a fun night with Tyler tonight and I’m sure he’ll keep you on your toes. I always loved spending the night at your house for that same reason, so many interesting things to look at in your house. We hope to see you soon and in the meantime, I’ll keep sending pictures of Miss Makenzie.

      Love you! Stacy

Stacy, You and Kenzie made it through Brian’s being away so much. How great to be all together again. Hope you and Kenzie are both getting better. It is rough enough to be alone or be sick or have your baby sick, but to have all of them at once is exhausting. Loving the Virgin Islands although today is very cloudy. People here are great. Love, Marcy
